Two similar pix (this and the next) of the Rousdon Merz telescope, Rousdon Merz Charles and Rousdon Merz George. The latter has only very recently come to light - it was in the ownership of a descendant of Charles's brother George. (It may confuse you that C had a brother and son both named George - it does me!) If you look closely you can see the facial difference between father and son. But the camera has not moved between the 2 pix (check the intersecting lines of dome etc) - presumably Charles was photographed by George, and they then simply changed places.
