The atmospheric pressure and rainfall were both recorded automatically, and the weekly pen-recorder output was stuck into the book to form a continuous record from January to December. I do not know why the pressure graph has the days of the week printed in English, but the rainfall graph has the days in French. On the left hand side of the rainfall graph Charles has written "Ice in Bucket - Hard frost". There is a description of the instruments used, their location and the date of their first use in the Rousdon Meteorological Report of 1884.
