This drawing is from the sale brochure dated 1999, when several parts of the Rousdon estate were offered for sale. It clearly shows the location of the wooden transit observatory at the northern end of East Lodge garden. As can be seen, it is aligned with its long axis east/west, and hence the shutter in the roof will be aligned north/south. The fence line, marking the iron railings that contained the transit observatory and the meteorological observatory tower, can also be seen.
